Portugal and Spain 2021 Michelin Star Restaurants Awards

On 14th December 2020, Michelin, the most prestigious restaurants’ guide on the planet, celebrated, with an audience almost entirely online, the annual Gala to announce the 2021 Michelin stars in Spain and Portugal. 

While the event was less glamorous than in regular times,  this great festival of Gastronomy of Spain & Portugal was shared with the whole world!

At the Gala, there was a big novelty, the new Michelin Green stars. This new recognition seeks to reward the efforts of the establishments with the best gastronomic practices in terms of sustainability. And today within Spain & Portugal there are 21 restaurants distinguished with this new Michelin green star. Congratulations to them all!!

This year, in Spain and Portugal, there have not been any new 3-star winners, but there have been three new restaurants with two stars and nineteen new restaurants with 1 star!

Below is the list of starred restaurants included in the Michelin Guide Spain Portugal 2021.

3 Michelin Star Restaurants:

There won’t be any new addition to the list 3 Michelin star restaurants in Spain and Portugal, but all of them keep the previous ones:

This year has been a very difficult year for restaurants. However, what a better way to end the year than to see that the hard work of the chefs of Spain & Portugal has been awarded! Despite the difficulties, the strict measures, the closures of establishments, they have continued hard-working, struggling, exploring and creating…and have returned stronger than ever, with incredible dishes that soon we will all be able to taste!!!
